Kosher Kitchen Mark and Laurie are conservative Jews who are not shomer Shabbos. We understand the laws of kashrut and Shabbot. Our kitchen is not certified or under supervision; it has been koshered as a home kitchen as per Jewish law. (It is inspected by the Hunterdon County department of health). We only serve dairy and use products with OU, Kof-K, Triangle K, OK and Vaah Haraobonim (of Massachusetts) and UMK (of Minnesota) symbols. The only K product we currently use is Kellogg’s cereals. For further information or questions about these certifying agencies, go to www.crcweb.org We welcome kosher guests who would like to bring other food with them for lunch or dinner and we have a microwave and refrigerator available for our kosher guests only(at a nominal extra charge of $15/day). Because of liability and health code reasons, guests are not allowed to use our kitchen, nor can we heat up items in our oven. Please bring items that can be microwaved and disposible plates and utensils. We can provide a non-cooked breakfast for Shabbot and/or serve meals on plastic. There is a certified kosher Chinese restaurant (Lin’s) in Manville, approximately 30 minutes away. The nearest orthodox synagogue is Beth El in East Windsor, approximately 45 minutes away. |
